Many have written and asked me for a transcript of the “ritual text” of the The Triformis Oracle Rite which I lead at the recent Hekate Triformis Symposium in Glastonbury.

I will begin by saying that I have facilitated and lead hundreds of public and private ceremonies over the years and as it is with ceremonies, even the same ceremony performed twice will always be unique. Public ceremonies are always more difficult, people don’t all know each other and the ritual team as a whole is incredibly important in keeping the energy flowing towards its aims and goals. Furthermore, with an Oracle Rite of any sort it is difficult to really provide an accurate “transcript” of the ritual as by its very nature trance oracles are unpredictable, and its highly unlikely that any two will ever be exactly the same – and they are often personal to the situation, those present or individuals present. For this reason and for others, I will provide only an outline of what the ceremony entailed, and I hope that this will give those of you who have asked enough of a glimpse to understand what it was that we did. If there are any more specific questions please do not hesitate to respond to this blog.

Ritual Summary:

1/ Opening welcome and breath meditation (lead by Sorita)

2/ Elemental Balancing (based on the Elemental Rite of Unification) (Lead by two Altar Priestesses)

3/ ‘Ensouling’ of the Statue – the formula used for this is based on my own blend drawn from Greco-Egyptian temple rites, the Greek Magical Papyri and my own intuitive work, it includes the use of various poems between offerings and other actions – some of them invocatory (i.e. calling on the deity to come to the rite) and others offertory (i.e. hymns / prayers of thanks and praise), making offerings to welcome the deity (I offered a specially made incense, a sacred oil, jewellery, food, milk, wine, honey, jewellery), opening the mouth of the statue (using a dagger, in this case it was a white hilted dagger, but that is not important, it should simply be a dagger consecrated for personal ritual use), during the ensouling I also use my breath to breathe onto the statue, sharing my breath with it as part of the process of enlivening it. Please note that the offerings here are not in thanks, but rather as part of the process of invocation. (Lead by Sorita, and one other Priestess)

4/ This was followed by the reading of a couple of classical hymns. (by altar Priestesses)

5/ The next part of the ritual involved three Oracle Priestesses, with three Oracle Attendants – for Hekate Chthonia (Earth), Hekate Kleidouchos (Keybearer) and Hekate Soteira (Saviour). Each were anointed in turn by myself, and then “dressed” by their respective attendants – which involved them being veiled, and then given various symbols or items which each team agreed on as part of their preparation. These three pairs worked together in the weeks preceding the Symposium on their own parts of the ceremony, their own hymns invocations etc, so until it actually unfolded before all of us they and only they knew what they were doing.
Starting with the Earth Oracle, then Keybearer and lastly Saviour, the Attendant and Priestess worked together to prepare the Priestess for trance oracle work through processes such as invocation, chanting and energy work. Each Priestess then proclaimed an Oracle to all present, remaining seated and veiled. This is trance oracle work, so none of it was rehearsed, nor can any of it be repeated precisely as it was again, as is the nature of trance prophesy, especially when it is as ecstatic as these Oracles were!
To keep the energy moving and to allow each Oracle some time to ground, and the participants time to reflect on what had been said, we chanted simple chants which were lead by two ritual drummers, just moving / drumming the energy round the space as was appropriate. (By Three Oracle Priestesses, and three Oracle Attendants)

6/ Following the main oracles, each participant was invited to come forward for a personal blessing from the Oracles. Amongst those who came forward some people chose to ask for the blessings of all three, and others of just one – with the oracles giving personal blessings, or messages to each individual who came forward. With more than 40 participants (excluding the ritual team) this took some time and the ritual drummers kept things going with gentle chanting. As each person received their personal blessing they were offered ritual wine by one of the Altar Priestesses.

7/ Hymn reading by one of the Priestesses

8/ Serpent Breath meditation to balance and take some of the energy of the rite with us. This is a technique I developed more than a decade ago, for this rite a simplified version was used.

Then finally we all shared some munchies and socialised for a while, before we had a final wild ecstatic dance to the drummers (who were no doubt inspired by Dionysos!).

~ I would personally like to thank the entire ritual team for being amazing and awesome and wonderful and all the rest – and for the truly magnificent participants who brought with them their personal joy and love for both Hekate and this growing community. We are truly blessed to have spent the time we did together.

The Ritual Team Included:
(In alphabetical Order)

Andrea Salgado-Reyes (Oracle Priestess)
Emily Carding (Oracle Priestess)
Harry Barron (Oracle Attendant Priest)
Vikki (Altar Priestess)
Francis (Altar Priestess)
Magin Rose (Drums, Priestess)
Kay Gillard (Drums)
Sorita d’Este (Temple Priestess)
Lezley Forster (Oracle Priestess)
Robert (Oracle Attendant Priest)
Sophie (Oracle Attendant Priestess)

Additional Readings by: Kim and Hazel

We did not take any photographs during the ceremony, as it would not have been appropriate. However I will leave you with this stunning image taken post ceremony by Robert Podmore :

This visualisation / meditation journey explores the symbolism associated with the God Mercury, and the planetary attributions of Mercury as a whole. Guided visualisations such as this are useful tools in exploring symbolism and gaining an understanding of the attributes of different aspects of religious iconography.

[Extract from the book Practical Planetary Magick, Sorita d'Este & David Rankine, Avalonia, 2007. (c) 2007. All rights reserved.]

—–

Journey to the God Mercury

Sit comfortably and relax, closing your eyes. In your mind’s eye fix the image of yourself sitting as you are in the room. Hold this image, and then see a white mist filling the room, obscuring the walls, the floor, the ceiling, everything, until all around you is white mist. As the mist disperses you find yourself in an underground tunnel made of grey granite, with torches on the walls alternately every 5m. About 20m ahead there is a doorway into a vault.

Entering the vault, you see it is about 20m square and has roughly hewn walls. The ceiling is 3m above you, and in the centre of the vault is a beautiful young man sitting on a golden throne, he has a grin on his face and his eyes are full of laughter. He wears a simple white tunic and has a winged helmet on his head and winged sandals on his feet. In his right hand he holds a caduceus.

The throne he sits on is flanked by two pillars each 1m in diameter, rising from the floor to the ceiling. The pillar on the left of the throne is made of gold, and the one on the right is made of a single piece of emerald. Approaching the throne you see that there is a golden casket sitting on the floor in front of Mercury. The casket is 30cm by 20cm by 10cm deep. Mercury asks you how much the truth matters to you? He tells you he is the master of guile, but even lies work best when interwoven with the truth, like the two serpents of his caduceus. However, he insists, truth must be your guiding light on your path and you should never lie to yourself.

He touches the end of the caduceus to the casket, and you hear the lock click. Look inside, he tells you, so you lift the lid, struggling slightly with the weight, and open it. Within the casket is a single tablet of emerald, filling the casket. On the emerald tablet there are strange hieroglyphs. As you look at the hieroglyphs they seem to shift in front of your eyes. The first line says “With certainty, that which is above is as that which is below”. As you continue to stare at the tablet, the words speak to you, and you realise that the truth on the emerald tablet is an ever-changing message that varies with the observer. Remember as fully as you can the words you read on the emerald tablet so you can consider them and meditate on them afterwards.

Mercury laughs and you lift your gaze from the emerald tablet to see him looking at you from the throne. He has changed and his face is now that of a bearded mature man. His transformation reminds you that everything changes and that people can wear many faces. Nodding to you, he vanishes and the white mist appears, filling the vault around you, until once again you are surrounded by white mist. Again the mist disperses, and as it fades away you find yourself once more sitting in the room.

Take some time to write up your experience and contemplate what you have learned.

“Let, then, this superior path to true success, which is the spiritual completing of the union of souls to the divine nature, be cognized by thee. But the sacerdotal and theurgic gift of true success is called the Door to the Creator of the Universe, or Supreme Goodness. In the first place it possesses the power of chastity of soul which is far more perfect than chastity of the body: afterward, the preparing of the understanding for the participation and vision of the Good and its release from everything of a contrary character: and after these, oneness with the gods the givers of all things good.” Iamblichus ♥

“Hekate is a Goddess of great antiquity. She is primordial, powerful and sometimes animalistic – and yet, she is also sophisticated, modern and capable of adapting to different cultures. She is the Torchbearer, the Cosmic World Soul, the Guide and Companion. She is Mistress of the Restless Dead, who rules over the Heavens Earth and Sea. She is the Keybearer and so much more. Her devotees today, as throughout the ages, include philosophers, poets, sorcerers, theurgists, witches, root-cutters, enchantresses and ordinary people.” HHSF

This year I will again be joining thousands of others around the world to light a flame for the Goddess Hekate at the full moon in May (5th and 6th of May) for the third year as part of the Rite of Her Sacred Fires celebrations. The utter enthusiasm of participants to make this a diverse and universal celebration of the mysteries of the torchbearing Goddess is still something which brings awe and silence to my soul. It is beautiful to see so many people share their passion in such an utterly positive way. Even more so, the sheer diversity and universality of Hekate is emphasised in that the Rite is now available in a total of 17 languages, including French and Spanish, to Esperanto and Welsh, Finnish and Indonesian, Serbian and Bulgarian.

More than in previous years 2012 seems to be bringing with it diverse community and group events centred around the Rite – some private and some public. For me this is really special to see unfold, as community events – whether small or large – are wonderful things. Through such events new friendships are fostered, knowledge and experience is shared and creativity birthed through the meeting of minds and souls. Some of the public community events have been posted to the wall of the main Facebook events page https://www.facebook.com/events/153842814733699/, and there are also a few listings at http://hekatecovenant.com/events. In future years I hope to find a more effective way of organising such listings so that it is easier to find out about events which might be taking place in your local area (and if someone out there is reading this with a bright idea on how, please get in touch!).

I myself will be leading group ceremonies for the Rite of Her Sacred Fires this year. On the 5th of May I will be opening the first Hekate Symposium in Glastonbury with the Rite, lighting the candles for the event, with Tara Sanchez, who was with me when I did it the first time in May 2010 in my temple sanctuary in Wales. And then with all the participants, and a few friends, we will end the Symposium with a very very special expression of the Rite on Sunday, 6th of May here in Glastonbury. A few people have suggested that we also walk to the top of Glastonbury Tor and light a flame for Hekate there at midnight, I suspect the weather will dictate that – but then She is the Goddess of Storms!

Remember there are loads of Hekate related resources at the HerSacredFires YouTube channel, including some wonderful music, see http://www.youtube.com/hersacredfires. If you film yourself speaking about the Rite of Her Sacred Fires, or indeed participating in the Rite, please tag the clip with “Her Sacred Fires” and send the hersacredfires channel a message so that we can add you to our “favourites” and relevant playlists for others to enjoy!

Likewise, if you take photographs of your shrine, rituals or celebrations and upload to Facebook tag myself “Sorita d’Este” or “The Goddess Hekate” in the photos (if they are public) so that it is shared with others for inspiration! Likewise you are welcome to upload directly to The Goddess Hekate page to share with others.

As for my preparations…. I have a beautiful handmade red beeswax candle for the Sunday ceremony in Glastonbury ready, I have prepared 90 candles for participants over the Symposium weekend, and will be spending time later this week inscribing candles for individuals who have sponsored a flame at the Symposium. I have ironed altar clothes, washed statues and cleaned out wax from candle holders. I suspect this week will be filled with more of the same!

If you want to find out more about the Rite of Her Sacred Fires see http://sacredfires.co.uk/the-rite-of-her-sacred-fires/2012-rite-of-her-sacred-fires for information on how to participate. It is free, and you don’t need any complicated tools or items – and you can participate from anywhere in the world. All the information you will need, including links to the texts can be found on the Sacredfires.co.uk website, where you will also be able to find out more about the Hekate Her Sacred Fires anthology project which inspired the Rite.

I will leave you with a recording of the first ever time I did the Rite of Her Sacred Fires after writing it in May 2010. It was filmed and edited into this instructional film by my friend the author and Priestess Tara Sanchez, and set to the music of Jade Sol Luna. Both Jade and Tara were contributors to the HHSF project. The Rite is intended for use on the FULL MOON of May, hence the difference in dates between 2010 and this year, when the full moon is on the 5th/6th of May.

May you all dance in Her sacred fires 2012 in beautiful blessed joy!

Having only moved officially to Glastonbury last Autumn I was absolutely honoured to be included in the Glastonbury 2012: Harmony & Healing event held in Chalice Well Gardens on Saturday the 21st of April, representing the Covenant of Hekate as Keybearer, and all those who honour the Torchbearing Goddess of the Mysteries.

This event was organised by the lovely Morgana West of the Glastonbury Pilgrim centre (http://www.glastonbury-pilgrim.co.uk/) and aimed to bring together as many as the different faiths, religious traditions and paths present in Glastonbury as possible. As part of the ceremony each participant brought water from somewhere special to them in Glastonbury to the event. I gathered rain water that morning from the grave of the mystical author and priestess Dion Fortune, representing the connection of the Goddess Hekate to the realms of the dead and ancestors, but also with rain and storms! The central candle was lit that morning and processed around the town to the shrines, temples and churches of many different traditions, and finally to Chalice Well Gardens for the ceremony, where in turn each faith representative poured the water they brought into a special bowl (see image at the bottom of this blog) and lit their candles from the flame of the central candle which had been processed throughout the day.

“Many faiths and beliefs are upheld in Glastonbury and this will be celebrated, by a small procession consisting of representatives of different faiths, paths and beliefs who will carry the Glastonbury Candle from Glastonbury Pilgrim Reception Centre, around the town and arriving at The Chalice Well… ”
http://www.glastonbury2012.com/

It is estimated that there are more than 70 religious traditions present in Glastonbury, making it, per capita, the most religiously diverse town in Britain and probably in the world. And probably also one of the most interesting for those people, who like me, have a passionate interest in religion, and related areas of study and practice. Of these more than 50 were present at the Chalice Well ceremony, a testament to the work and commitment of the organisers!

I was honoured to share circle space with the Qabalist and author Will Parfitt whose work I admire greatly. Moreover, the sheer diversity of traditions, beliefs and practices represented was simply amazing, as was the levels of tolerance shown to and by people who are of traditions which are not traditionally compatible. Where I stood in the circle I was surrounded by the representatives of the Anglican Church, OBOD Druidry, Hoodoo, Gardnerian Wicca, Pow wow, Taoism, Western Mysteries, Occultism, Gnosticism, Triratna Buddhism and many others.

Then there was of course the magic. The little things. Flames flickering and refusing to light, being relit from other flames in the circle, the sharing of fire between faiths and people from different traditions. But there was also the little robin who chose his moment to come and strut his stuff carefully, and the white doves circling above. The wind playing in the branches of the two yew trees where we stood, and the gentle sound of water which, every now and then, made itself heard above the sound of the ceremony and everything else. The sparks of friendships and new beginnings being lit, and all the unspoken things which happen at a community event which in turn changes the future for each and everyone touched by it.

On behalf of myself and all the members of the Covenant of Hekate we would like to thank Morgana West and all the organisers for including us and for organising this utterly amazing event! And a special thank you also to Adele Clough of the Covenstead for lending me an awesome container for the flame I was carrying!

May you all continue to be blessed as bearers of the lights of the Mysteries.

Much joy to all of you,
Sorita d’Este

I am truly blessed to have some truly talented and creative friends. Amongst them the Glastonbury based natural perfumer Marina Barcenilla, whom I have known for many years now. Not only does she have a passion for creating perfumes with all natural ingredients, she also has a very good nose and fantastic instincts!

Marina was inspired by a discussion we had about the forthcoming Hekate Triformis Symposium, which is being held to mark the third year of the Rite of Her Sacred Fires and to bring together just some people from the growing international community of Hekate devotees and those interested in her mysteries. I mentioned to Marina that I was in the process of creating a truly special ceremony in which we would honour the Goddess Hekate as Triformis (three-formed) and that as part of this ceremony there would be three oracles from three priestesses – each focussing on a different aspect / title taken from the diverse roles Hekate had historically.

The Triformis Oracle Rite will honour Hekate Soteira (Saviour), Hekate Kleidouchos (Keybearer) and Hekate Cththonia (of the Earth), with oracles from three Oracular Priestesses. Inspired by this diversity and allowing her creative nose and inspiration to flow, Marina has created three perfumes, one each for the three Hekate titles being honoured in this rite. In her blog “In Search of Mythical Inspiration” Marina speaks about the process saying: “And so, my obsession about perfume and my compulsion to give everything in existence a scent inspired me to embark in an imaginary journey to the days of Ancient Greece to create a scent worthy of a goddess’ favour, using the three titles above to create three very different but rather lovely oils.”.

Marina’s Hekate Triformis Perfumes will be available at the event, though you are advised to reserve a set (just £11.95 for all three!) in advance to avoid disappointment. If you are not able to attend (and tickets have been sold out for several months) don’t despair, Marina is taking orders for shipping (internationally) all the details you need is on her blog http://theperfumegarden.wordpress.com/2012/03/22/in-search-of-mythical-inspiration/

I have to admit, that although I love all three, you will note that on the photo (top of this blog, which is of my set of testers!) the darker oil is clearly more empty than the others, that is the Hekate Cthtonia perfume, which is definitely my favourite!

It feels like yesterday when with utter wonder I sat in my temple sanctuary in mid-Wales pondering the tremendously positive and beautiful experience that was the first Rite of Her Sacred Fires at the Full Moon of May 2010. Having written the Rite in celebration of the completion of the Hekate Her Sacred Fires anthology, I could not have predicted the overwhelming unity and enthusiasm which people from many different spiritual and magical traditions from all around the world would show for this simple ceremony offered as a devotional offering to the Goddess Hekate.

This year is the third year, and once again thousands of people from all around the world have already committed themselves to honouring Hekate by lighting flames for her at the Full Moon in May and performing the Rite. The ritual is now available in 13 translations, and there are numerous examples of different people performing the Rite available on YouTube as examples for those who are performing the ritual for the first time.
If you are interested in finding out more, see RITE OF HER SACRED FIRES 2012. The available translations can be viewed at RITE OF HER SACRED FIRES TEXTS and if you want to participate in discussions, get updates and other information please join the Facebook Events Page.

The Rite of Her Sacred Fires also forms the basis for the Rite of the Devotee, which is part of the membership rituals of the Covenant of Hekate which was founded following the first Rite of Her Sacred Fires in 2010.

Spring, the sweet spring

BY THOMAS NASHE

Spring, the sweet spring, is the year’s pleasant king,

Then blooms each thing, then maids dance in a ring,

Cold doth not sting, the pretty birds do sing:

Cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-we, to-witta-woo!

The palm and may make country houses gay,

Lambs frisk and play, the shepherds pipe all day,

And we hear aye birds tune this merry lay:

Cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-we, to-witta-woo!

The fields breathe sweet, the daisies kiss our feet,

Young lovers meet, old wives a-sunning sit,

In every street these tunes our ears do greet:

Cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-we, to witta-woo!

REINCARNATION & THE QABALAH
by Sorita d’Este & David Rankine, extract from the book Practical Qabalah Magick, Avalonia, 2009. All rights reserved.

The idea of reincarnation, or transmigration of souls, known as ‘gilgul’ (meaning revolving or swirling) was one that became integrated into Qabalistic belief, being first published in the Bahir in the late thirteenth century CE. On death the parts of the soul all go to their appointed places. The Nephesh sinks into the earth, to go to Gehinnom (hell) if the person has been bad, the Ruach stays with the body, and the Neshamah ascends to the Throne of God, where the Throne sustains it until it is ready to descend back into physical form.

This doctrine is hinted at by the name of the heaven of Kether, i.e. Rashith ha-Gilgalim (‘the first swirlings’), coming from the same root as the word gilgul. The soul aspires to its highest aspect, the Yechidah, seeking to elevate the lower aspects so they may be united with the highest and then re-merge with the ultimate divine.

There are a number of variants of this belief, such as where the souls go depending on conduct. A soul that has fulfilled its spiritual destiny does not need to continue reincarnating, and is said to be stored in holiness by God until the end of time, when it is rejoined with its body (Guph), its Ruach and its Nephesh. God will then cause dew (which is the divine light) to exude from His head that will flow through the Sephiroth until it reaches the earth. The dew is said to be that which would have caused Adam and Eve to have become immortal, and will enable the resurrected soul to be remerged with the primal Adam.

When all the souls have remerged with Adam, he can be restored to his state of grace from before the Fall and exile. In this way every person is part of the process of restoration, ‘tikkun’.

A soul that has knowingly perpetrated evil will return to a lesser form, such as an animal, plant or even stone. This doctrine is analogous to the Hindu concept of karmic reincarnation, and is thought to have its roots in Platonic and Neo-Platonic philosophies. This is made even clearer in the Zohar, which raises the issue of reincarnation in an interesting manner, with discussion of the final judgement. It says:

“Said Rabbi Hizkiah: ‘If it be so that all the dead bodies will rise up from the dust, what will happen to a number of bodies which shared in succession the same soul?’ Rabbi Jose answered: ‘ Those bodies which were unworthy and did not achieve their purpose will be regarded as though they had not been: as they were a withered tree in this world, so will they be regarded at the time of the resurrection. Only the last that had been firmly planted and took root and prospered will come to life, as it says, ‘For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters … but its foliage shall be luxuriant (Jer 17:8).’”[i]

A later version of this doctrine changed the concept of rebirth until perfection is reached with a cycle of only four incarnations. If by the end of the fourth life the soul had not reached a basic level of development it would roam the earth as a spirit (called a dybbuk) that sought to possess other people to control their bodies and be returned to the flesh. If the soul did reach a level of attainment it would find sanctuary until the day of restitution.

The idea of reincarnation is hinted at in earlier texts, such as in 3 Enoch, where it describes the vision of, “the souls of the righteous who have already been created and have returned, and the souls of the righteous who have not yet been created.” A clear reincarnation reference indeed! Thus we can see that it was not just the influence of Neo-Platonism which produced a doctrine of reincarnation in Qabalah.

For everything pertaining to the lotos, both the forms in the leaves and the appearance of the seed, is observed to be circular. This very energy is akin to the unique circle-like motion of the mind, manifesting it in like manner according to the same forms, in a single arrangement, and according to one principle.” Iamblichus

“Powers of the Kingdom, be beneath my left foot, and within my right hand. Glory and Eternity touch my shoulders, and guide me in the Paths of Victory. Mercy and Justice be ye the Equilibrium and Splendour of my life. Understanding and Wisdom give unto me the Crown. Spirits of Malkuth conduct me between the two columns whereon is supported the whole edifice of the Temple. Angels of Netzach and of Hod strengthen me upon the Cubical Stone of Yesod.”[i]

The Qabalah gives understanding and wisdom through knowledge, strength and mercy through beauty, and a foundation of victory and splendour, crowning the seeker within their own kingdom and raising them to the heights of their own genius. Qabalah is an experiential path which lives up to its literal meaning of ‘received wisdom’, gained as the seeker travels through the worlds guided by the Tree of Life, attaining knowledge and understanding.

As we know it today, the Qabalah, as found in the Western Mystery Tradition, is a system of magical philosophy and spiritual practice which syncretised components of Gnosticism, Neo-Platonism, and early Jewish mysticism with aspects of ancient Sumerian and Egyptian cosmologies. In Europe, during the twelfth to fourteenth centuries these diverse sources flowed together into a melting pot of spiritual and magical ideologies generating a lucid, coherent and practical path of spiritual realisation. The resulting philosophies and practices would subsequently influence and inspire a wide range of magical and spiritual traditions which in turn would be highly influential on the western mystery traditions of alchemy, hermeticism, Freemasonry, Rosicrucianism and all their many derivatives. The influence of the Qabalah can be seen in nearly all the major magical books from the Renaissance, including the Key of Solomon, the Heptameron, Agrippa’s Three Books of Occult Philosophy and Kircher’s Oedipus Aegypticus.

Juxtaposed with the emergence of Qabalah as a prominent philosophy, came its distilled essence in the glyph known as Otz Chiim (‘the Tree of Life’). Reflecting the commonly used scale of ten numbers combined with the twenty-two Hebrew letters, the image of the Tree of Life comprises the ten Sephiroth (‘emanations’), which are connected by twenty-two horizontal, vertical and diagonal paths. These Sephiroth and Paths weave together the symbolism of the four elements, the seven classical planets, and the zodiac as a single articulate whole. This coalesces all the key elements of the western mystery traditions since its earliest emergence through to the modern day.

The wide spectrum of practices and principles of the Qabalah can be seen as an ever-expanding panoramic horizon, with your own individual view being expanded to infinity through your experiences and the realisations they bring. This expansion of ideas with perspective can be demonstrated by the idea of the Four Worlds and how they relate to both the division of the Tree of Life, and also to the powers of each individual Sephira.

On one level, each Sephira is said to exist in all Four Worlds, which correspond to its Divine Name, archangel, order of angels and heaven, representing different levels of manifestation of the creative essence. Yet on another level the Four Worlds divide the Sephiroth into triads down the Tree of Life based on the principle of force and form balanced in action or repose, with each World containing three of the Sephiroth (with the fourth World only containing the final Sephira of Malkuth).

The ability of the Qabalah to permutate and present different valid perceptions of the same ideologies makes it an extremely powerful system for creating change on many levels. This is essential to its adaptability and versatility, with its principles applying through the Worlds. In other words, when incorporating it into your life, it should permeate not only your spiritual life, but also the way you live your mental, emotional and material lives and the decisions you make throughout.

I hope to be listening to a lot more of David’s work in future!
