Sad & Bad

I am writing this little blog entry this morning having just read and listened to some of the vile words and behaviour of an internet radio show host following the decision I was forced to make in the early hours of the morning to pull out of a live interview which I had agreed to do  for his show.  I am not going to name the show or the man here, as I refuse to give him and his work any notoriety or kudos by association. He seems to thrive on that.

For all the listeners and others who know what this is about, I would like to offer my sincere apologies for not being able to be on the show.  There was some misunderstandings about how I would connect to the show, and instead of trying to find a solution to it; the shows’ host emailed me a threat as his first means of communication. Clearly not what one would expect a professional balanced person.

He has gone on to insult me using every insulting term one might find in a dictionary of misogynistic and abusive terms towards women, both in writing (in more than one place) and on the actual airing of the show.  I can only say, that no matter where the actual blame for the misunderstanding is to be put, that I am relieved to not have been interviewed by this person.
I don’t think there is much to add to this, apart from, again that I am sorry for the inconvenience caused to people who really wanted to listen to the interview.  He however, did not rest with his insults just against me – but decided to also voice them against some of my friends, colleagues, England and worse of all, against the Goddess Hekate.

I rarely say yes to interview requests, as I simply don’t have much free time at the moment, following this man’s outburst I might however rebel against sleep and find a way of doing more, and lending my support to small shows where the hosts are polite, civil and actually interested in their guests – as I am sure that such shows are also more interesting and illuminating for listeners.
