Friday, the day of Venus, Goddess of Love and the planet sometimes named as the “morning” and “evening” stars.  This is the final blog in a series over the last seven days in which the symbolism of the sigils of the Seven Wandering Stars are explored, with extracts from my book Practical Planetary Magick (co-authored with David Rankine).  I hope you have enjoyed them!

Venus

The sigil of Venus depicts a circle atop an equal-armed cross.  The life-giving energies of the circle dominate the cross of matter.  This form shows the power of Venus as the force of generation and attraction, with the essence of life dominating the physical world.
